Minor Field Surgery Kit
Unlike field surgery rolls that look similar but are far less capable these kits are ready to make minor to semi-moderate wound repair possible for one or more casualties. The instrument selection is intended to perform tissue manipulation, exploration, debridement and approximation with suturing. There are no dissection probes, dental instruments or disposable penlights that are included for piece count in place of utility as found in inferior kits.
Each instrument is stainless steel and has been inspected for positive locking ability and fit. They are a good balance between economy and function to provide good service at low cost. Hemostat tips align properly and the needle driver has a very positive grip between the jaws. Manufacturer labels include such brands as Sklar, Cardinal Health, Bioseal and others.
Sutures come pre-threaded with reverse cutting needles and are sterile packaged individually for a long shelf life. Two separate sizes are provided for versatility. They are non-braided monofilament for reduced tissue reactivity.
The pouch is nylon for durability and easy clean up. The alcohol wipes are sized large for properly disinfecting the instruments prior to use as well as the user’s hands.
